Need tipps what to do in the area? There is plenty to do and here are some of our favorites.
The southern Coast
Three big towns mark the end of the Costa Brava: Tossa de Mar, Lloret de Mar and Blanes.

Tossa de Mar has a medieval fortified town, the only one left on the coastline in entire Catalonia. It is in a walled enclosure built around the 12th century as a defence against pirates and is almost completely preserved.

Lloret de Mar packs in a large proportion of the hotel rooms in the whole area and offers all kinds of tourist services, including a wide range of night leisure activities. It also has one the most bucolic botanical gardens in the region, Santa Clotilde, without forgetting the Marimurtra gardens in the neighboring town of Blanes. They say that the Sa Palomera rock, in the middle of the beach at Blanes, marks the start or end of what we call the Costa Brava.
